Tellin' What We Do
Jennifer over at Jean Little Library has a great post about a presentation she did for a high school Child Development course. She enhanced a "librarian-as-a-career" presentation into a great tour-de-books and promo for reading aloud with kids. I especially like her book selections. Lucky high schoolers!
I am a MN Master Naturalist volunteer and avid hiker and outdoorswoman living in La Crescent MN. I currently serve on the City of La Crescent’s Park and Rec Commission and Natural Resources Advisory Group and am a member of the Friends of the Blufflands, The Prairie Enthusiasts and the Mississippi Valley Conservancy. I love reading, gardening, cooking, laughing and learning something new everyday. Oh and connecting people to the outdoors through guided hikes and doing presentations on mindfully enjoying the natural world.
Now if there's a sequel "The Librarian that Eats Patrons" I bet I could have gotten at least an eyebrow wiggle out of the back row...
